OKLAHOMA CITY — A jury in Oklahoma has convicted a woman of killing her 33-12 months-vintage daughter by way of forcing a crucifix and medallion down her throat because she believed the girl was possessed by the devil.
Fifty-one-12 months-old Juanita Gomez was once found in charge of first-degree homicide Thursday in the 2016 loss of life of Geneva Gomez. Jurors recommended a sentence of life in prison without parole.
Police discovered Geneva Gomez lying on the ground inside of her mom’s Oklahoma Town house with her arms opened up as though she were crucified. a big crucifix had been placed on her chest.
Court documents indicate Juanita Gomez informed police she forced a crucifix down her daughter’s throat and watched her die.
A psychologist found her able to face trial and mentioned she used to be feigning memory problems to look incompetent.
