$10 lattes weren’t enough to keep this coffee shop afloat

See ya latte!

The Greenpoint, Brooklyn, coffeehouse that made headlines in 2014 for selling an eye fixed-poppingly dear $10 latte was shuttered by town marshals this week for the reason that owners have been at the back of at the rent.

The Scandinavian brewhouse, Budin, used to be evicted from 114 Greenpoint Ave., with the owner, BJL Houses LLC, claiming it was owed greater than $10,000 for a month’s again hire, consistent with co-proprietor Crystal Pei.

But Pei says the owner has 4 months of hire in a security deposit it has now not tapped, and accuses the valuables proprietor of looking to squeeze Budin out of the stylish community.

no one replied the phone at BJL’s Port Jefferson Station, LI, workplaces.
